Crème Brûlée French Toast

I'd never heard of this until we went over to our friends Justin and Melissa's house.  It was AMAZING.
Warning.  This is not healthy!  And you don't need syrup.  The recipe I found called for a round, country loaf.  I couldn't find one, so I used french bread.
First, I cut the french bread into 1 inch slices.
In a saucepan, I whisked 1 cup of butter with 2 cups of brown sugar and a couple tablespoons of corn syrup.
Whisked it until it was smooth and set aside.
Next, I mixed 10 eggs with 4 cups of half and half, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and 2 teaspoons of Grand Marnier.

I split the brown sugar mix between two baking dishes.  It was about a 1/4 deep.  Layered the french bread on top and covered it in the egg mixture.  Covered and refrigerated overnight.

The next morning, I baked it for about 45 minutes on 350.

(I forgot to take a picture, so I found one on Google.)
